Let’s address it. What is even a Vox Pop?

A vox pop is a filmed, intercept interview with a member of the public. Vox pops are used to capture public opinion in video format. I’m Kailash and I’ve built pages over a reach of 5 million within a month, from scratch.

How? Using this video format, called, Vox Pops.

I'm a Bangalore bred boy next door. I'm pretty sure someone popped into your head. Yup, that's me. Having recently moved from my boring corporate job to doing what I've loved doing most; talking. I use my "X-Factor" to talk to random people on the road and make them laugh. The text book Jack of all trades and master of none, I'm just hoping that my content makes someone crack up. Looking to lighten your mood and brighten your day with all I have, because we could all do with a little laughter in our lives.

How I Approach Vox Pops

• [ ] I Listen: Most people think talking is the one skill you need to have but, nope, you're wrong. You need to listen to what the other person is saying to build on it and engage you audience.
• [ ] I Have a bunch of jokes: I’m always ready to accept it when the jokes don't land well. Just say "Lame joke" and move on.
• [ ] Keeping yourself updated: I try to keep myself updated about current events in a few fields like, Music, Pop Culture, Sports, Politics, Trends & anything that's made the highlights
• [ ] Not taking it personal: Be okay to either be the head of the joke, or the butt. If you can crack a joke, the other person has just as much freedom and liberty to do so, and given my field of choice, it might just be headed towards me.
• [ ] Be warm, welcoming and accommodating: Make the interviewee feel comfortable and casual around you. It's very important that they don't have their guards up while talking to you.
• [ ] Understanding: I try to decode human behavior and I’m usually observing how people act and react to situations. If you’re even a close acquaintance, it’s highly likely that I know or I have anticipated a certain reaction. I also imitate you to your finest detail.
• [ ] Authenticity: I am myself. This is pretty self explanatory, what better type of content to show people for the way they are; Unfiltered, Opinionated, Flawed and Perfect? But if you yourself can’t embody these qualities, you can’t expect someone else to.

I approach Vox Pops with just one intention, to make the person in it laugh and the person watching it think. As someone who likes to talk, I have the most import quality someone who likes to talk, needs to have; listen. Now, for Vox Pops, Emceeing or anything sort of crowd interaction, that's the whole package. Being a multilingual, it's easier for me to interact with almost anybody.
