Role Overview
Barely Opinionated is seeking a meticulous and creative Editor – Research & Strategy to lead the research and editorial process for our thought-provoking and engaging content. In this role, you will oversee research initiatives, craft content strategies, and ensure our voice remains impactful and aligned with our audience’s preferences. Key Responsibilities
- Research Leadership:
- Conduct thorough research on trending topics, cultural movements, and audience-relevant issues.
- Analyze data, reports, and credible sources to provide insightful information for content development.
- Ensure all content meets Barely Opinionated’s standards of accuracy and credibility.
- Content Strategy Development:
- Design and execute innovative content strategies to engage and grow our digital audience.
- Collaborate with the creative team to align content with our mission of sparking curiosity and meaningful discussions.
- Stay ahead of industry trends to identify new opportunities for unique and impactful storytelling.
- Editorial Oversight:
- Edit and review scripts, articles, and video content for clarity, coherence, and adherence to the brand voice.
- Provide feedback to writers and creators to elevate the quality of their work.
- Uphold ethical and factual standards across all content.
- Collaboration & Coordination:
- Work closely with creators, strategists, and social media managers to coordinate and align content efforts.
- Partner with analytics teams to measure the success of content and refine strategies for better engagement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure content meets platform-specific goals and audience expectations.
